A couple of pictures from a visit to the château de Versailles right before Easter.
It was a pretty gray and depressing day, but when we finally made it out in the gardens after touring the halls + the salons de thé, the sun did come out for a moment. The bleak light was absolutely wonderful.

It must be at least ten years since I visited Versailles. It was also on a rather grey day but I still loved the magic of that place, especially in the magnificent gardens. Great photos which really capture that and the sneakers against the balck and white tiles is a lovely touch.

Actually, it was my first time visiting the castle. I’ve visited the park for picnics and parties before, but somehow I’ve always been too lazy to bother with queuing to get to see the interiors… But I’m so happy I finally did, because it’s absolutely splendid!
